Galerie 42b

Catherine Mikolajczak imagined a definitely actual concept, showing contemporary and urban art to a professional audience, with a rich, unique and varied artistic program in exhibition spaces constantly renewed. The gallery owner offers a new vision of contemporary art, rewriting its codes and traditions, and presents it in a new form of art gallery. Pioneer of the concept since 2013, Catherine defines gallery 42b as a “ nomadic gallery ”. Its innate sense for scenography conduced her to constantly look for new exhibition spaces for her artists. And to give her audience a unique experience through her exhibitions. Since september 2016, gallery 42b has inaugurated a new permanent address, located in 3rd area of Paris.

Fun Gallery

New York

Fun Gallery

The FUN Gallery was started in 1981 by Bill Stelling and Patti Astor who met at the Mudd Club. Astor, a film actress, was well known on the NYC underground circuit as “The Queen of The Downtown Screen” and it was her ‘celebutante’ status that brought the crowds to this gritty tenement storefront . FUN shot to fame as “the first art gallery in the East Village” and also the first art gallery to give graffiti artists one man shows appearing in PEOPLE Magazine in 1983. Although its tenure was brief the changes it brought to the art world endure.
“FUN Gallery was a place where neighborhood kids, downtown artists, b-boys, rock, film, and rap stars mixed with museum directors art historians and uptown collectors at wild openings featuring artists like Futura, Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quinones, Kenny Scharf, Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat.” PAPER Magazine 2012

H-Gallery

In September 2016, Hélianthe Bourdeaux-Maurin, Art Historian, Curator, former Gallery Director in New York for 8 years (Peter Freeman, Parker’s Box) and Exhibitions Coordinator of the Pinacothèque de Paris for 6 years, joins the founders of the Galerie Sisso in Paris to become the new Partner and Director of the gallery. The “Galerie Sisso” itself becomes “H GALLERY” and adopts a new artistic line based in particular on the discovery and development of talents that have never been shown in France, especially artists who live and work in North and Latin America.

These artists use various mediums such as installations, paintings, drawings, sculptures, videos, performances and photographs. The great  American continent is the subject of so much attention that it seems already well known to all Europeans. Yet, it still contains unexplored treasures at the crossroads of cultures that nurture its diversity and its contemporaneity.

H Gallery will also develop a Secondary Market Program untitled “H Gallery – Masters”.

Jonathan Levine Projects

Jonathan Levine Projects

Jonathan Levine Projects is committed to new and cutting edge art. Our roots go back to 1995 when LeVine’s life-long participation in punk and underground music grew into a curatorial experiment with the visual culture that surrounded him.  In 2005, he opened Jonathan LeVine Gallery in the Chelsea district of New York City and had great success nurturing the careers of many celebrated artists.

In 2017, the gallery relocated to Jersey City with a newfound focus on community and collaboration.  The newly named Jonathan LeVine Projects is located within Mana Contemporary, a leading arts organization dedicated to celebrating the creative process.  We aim to create engaging programs and interesting partnerships beyond our gallery space, such as public murals and pop-up exhibitions.  With an eye towards honoring and connecting with the history and context of Post War art, Jonathan LeVine Projects explores the terrain of the high/low and everything in between.
